Tunic is the indie game formerly known as Secret Legend. A new teaser trailer was shown at the PC Gaming Show at E3 2017. It stars a small fox in a big isometric world. It’s an action-adventure game that looks a lot like old-school Zelda games. It’s coming to PC and consoles in 2018.

The isometric world is minimally designed with heavy polygons with bright colors and detailed animations. The Zelda comparison is very apt as you can cut grass with your sword and break pots. You can watch an earlier developer interview from PC Gamer here. It’s meant to represent gameplay from the original The Legend of Zelda but with more advanced combat mechanics.

Tunic is being published by Finji, which has helped many excellent indie games such as Night in the Woods and Overland. It’s being developed by Andrew Shouldice.

Tunic is tentatively scheduled to release next year.
