In Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, the story is told as a frame narrative with the main events occurring as a girl named Alice reads about them in a book. Each chapter focuses on a different character: the Valkyrie Gwendolyn, the cursed prince Cornelius, the fairy Mercedes, the shadow knight Oswald, and a princess called Velvet. Throughout the chapters, the characters encounter one another, their stories ultimately weaving together to form the tale of a conflict between Demon Lord Odin of Ragnanival, the fairy land of Ringford, and the ruined nation of Valentine that lies between the two realms.
