King’s Quest – Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause

King's Quest - Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause has King Graham, the elderly ruler of Daventry, telling a story about his past to his granddaughter to help her fall asleep. Graham's story details a time early in his reign when he was less secure about his place as a monarch. However, the heart of the narrative occurs after Graham is kidnapped by goblins and taken underground. Graham explores the underground dungeon that he finds himself in, eventually stumbling upon a group of other prisoners. These prisoners are people who Graham has encountered and befriended in the first installment of the game, and he must figure out how to save them.
