Story & Themes
In Bloodborne, the playable character, known as the Hunter, receives a blood transfusion from a strange old man. Afterwards, the Hunter awakens in a different world; one filled with monsters of incredible strength that are shrouded in mystery. In order to acquire Paleblood, which is the Hunter's ultimate goal, he/she must defeat and kill these monsters. Bloodborne has three separate endings depending on certain choices the player makes about three-quarters of the way through the game.
Save Points
The game autosaves after anything important happens and whenever players quit the game.
Difficulty
Bloodborne is exceptionally challenging and does not have any difficulty settings.
Heads Up!
Violence Players combat enemies with melee and range weapons, and fairly realistic blood splatter effects occur upon impact. During sequences, players will witness various instances of dismemberment and decapitation.
Scary Imagery Bloodborne has elements of survival horror and features an unsettling atmosphere.
Online Community
Bloodborne's multiplayer option allows you to bring another player of a similar level into your game with the purpose of gaining an extra pair of hands. However, inviting another player into the game can also end badly as that player may attempt to sabotage or kill you instead of helping.
