God of War II

God of War II stars the protagonist from the first game, Kratos, who is now the God of War. Against Athena's wishes, he attacks the city of Rhodes with the Spartan army, where he is betrayed and killed by the god Zeus. Zeus, like the other gods, disapproved of Kratos' violent ways and therefore took drastic measures to remove him from power. Dragged to the Underworld once again, Kratos gains the help of the Titan Gaia and spends most of the remaining game seeking the Sisters of Fate in order to reverse time, prevent his death, and avenge himself against Zeus.

At predetermined points in the game, progress can be saved by walking up to a beam of light.

God of War II features three difficulty settings, "Easy," "Normal," and "Hard," as well as an unlockable Titan mode that is classified as "Very Hard." Completing the game in one of the easier modes will unlock Titan mode.

• Kratos is a viciously violent and ruthless character. Do you think there's any justification for his actions? Does he deserve to be betrayed by Zeus?
