Story & Themes
In Oracle of Seasons, our hero Link is called by the Triforce to Hyrule Castle, but before he can make it inside, Link is magically teleported to a land called Holodrum. In Holodrum, Link meets Din, a dancer in charge of a group of travelers. Unfortunately, in another twist of fate Onox, the General of Darkness sends a storm cloud to pull Din into the sky, all the while referring to Din as the Oracle of Seasons. As a result of Din's kidnapping, the seasons in Holodrum begin changing with chaotic speed.

Luckily, all hope is not lost as Din's attendant, Impa, sends Link to the Maku Tree who she says will be able to help. The Maku Tree gives Link his main quest of the game which is to collect the Eight Essences of Nature hidden in dungeons throughout Holodrum. With the Essences retrieved, Link gains access to Onox's castle where he defeats Onox and rescues Din.
