The Lego Movie Videogame

The game follows the same storyline as The Lego Movie, but here's a quick recap in case you don't know it. Emmet Brickowski, an ordinary construction worker, is whisked from his normal life when he falls into a hole at his construction site and discovers something called the Piece of Resistance. According to a prophecy, the one who possesses the Piece of Resistance, referred to as "The Special," has the power to stop the evil Lord Business from using the Kragle to freeze the world. (In reality, this translates to gluing down all the Lego pieces with Krazy Glue.)

Emmet meets two Master Builders, a wizard called Vitruvius and a woman, Wyldstyle, who possess the power to build objects without an instruction manual. The two take Emmet to a council meeting of other Master Builders but, because Emmet's abilities as a builder are lacking, the others are not impressed and do not agree to launch an attack on Lord Business. It is up to Emmet, Vitruvius, Wyldstyle, and a few others, such as Batman, to form an alternate plan for stopping Business before he can use the Kragle.

A major theme of the story is that everyone has the potential for greatness even though it may not appear so at first glance. Emmet, an everyman, struggles to fit into the role of "The Special," ultimately discovering his own power and capability.

As with other Lego games, saving occurs automatically at the end of each mission/section.

Lego The Movie Videogame is family friendly and not too tricky for young children to master. However, it's still a playable game for adults.
