Story & Themes
Deus Ex: The Fall is closely related to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and is a sequel to the novel tie-in Deus Ex: Icarus Effect. The story follows an augmented ex-mercenary, Ben Saxon who is hiding from the Illuminati. Because of the global Neuropozyne shortage, Ben and his augmented ally, Anna, are suffering the effects of augmentation rejection. Ben travels to Panama City in order to acquire more Neuropozyne, and in the process he discovers a conspiracy involving his previous employer, Belltower Associates, and a new, cheaper anti-rejection drug called Riezene.
