Dance Central Spotlight is pretty forgiving in the "Beginner" routines. As long as you're basically doing the moves the correctly, you'll get a good score. It becomes much more difficult to play on the harder difficulties, but there are no consequences for messing up. The music and the dancing continue regardless of how bad the player may be doing.
Sex & Nudity There are sexual innuendos and references in the lyrics of some of the songs. Some of the dance moves also require the player to move his or her hips in a suggestive manner.
Strong Language There may be objectionable language and innuendos in the lyrics of the songs. Any expletives are muted.
Substance Use Some of the lyrics of the songs make references to alcohol.
Consumerism Dance Central Spotlight comes with 10 songs and includes the option to purchase additional songs at $1.99 each.
Discrimination The game includes a wide variety of characters to choose from. Both genders and multiple races are represented.
