Adventure Time is a sometimes bewildering story in its weirdness, but consistently drops jewels of wisdom for its young viewers (and older ones, to be fair). At it's core it's a story about growing up and learning about the world around you--both the bad and the good. Its strong emphasis on friendship and caring, and the stereotypes it breaks out of, make it a great choice for kids of all ages. That said, players unfamiliar with the show might be baffled by the game.
Save Points
Water fountains in the game act as savepoints.
Difficulty
The game is not difficult to play, but some boss fights may have a steep difficulty curve. There is also a game+ mode that can be entered upon winning the game for the first time—players can replay on a higher difficulty setting in game+.
Heads Up!
Violence Cartoon violence only.
Consumerism There are a series of product tie-ins in the Adventure Time franchise.
