Games Done Quick has wrapped up its annual speedrunning marathon, Awesome Games Done Quick, and we’ve compiled a list of our favorite speedruns.

Over the last week, Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 showcased dozens of entertaining speedruns while raising over $2.44 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Big company donators include The Yetee, Fangamer, Game Grumps, Sandfall Interactive (Clair Obscur), and Supergiant Games (Hades).

Some of our favorite runs include this delightful run of American Truck Simulator featuring big hats, big accents, and a lively crowd as they drive (and roll, and get stuck) through my home state of Texas. “We might see at least 18 Dairy Queens,” made me bust out laughing.

How about this stupidly-talented run of new Switch 2 platformer Donkey Kong Bananza by V0oid? Some really cool skills and strategies employed here, even if you’re not trying to skip the whole game and beat it in an hour!

Cosplayer Jerikandra dressed as Marle for an always-welcome Chrono Trigger playthrough, one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Plus, a bonus New Game+ boss battle that lasts only 5 minutes!

This run of Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles nicely shows off the quality of life improvements of this recent remaster – including speeding everything up! A fun reminder that we are awash in excellent RPG remasters and remakes.

Speaking of recent releases, don’t miss another GDQ first with 2025 Game of the Year RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This isn’t just any speedrun, however, this is a racing run between Z3R01337 and Bdud5. And, appropriately, they’re playing in French.

One can argue whether Ocarina of Time or Majora’s Mask is the better N64 Zelda game, but we can all agree that this BLINDFOLDED run of Majora’s Mask by Bubiza is absolutely incredible!

And it’s no secret that Pokémon games have a special place in the speedrunning community. AGDQ 2026 ended in an all-timer with this modded, “Speedchoice” run of Pokémon Emerald by charismatic runner and Poké-expert, adef. After every big boss battle, adef must change his main Pokémon to one chosen by the fans and donators. The added mods help speed things up, but it’s adef’s charming style that makes this a winning speedrun.

We saved the best for last: an unhinged Super Mario 64 speedrun featuring 70 different runners! The rules are simple, as soon as one star is gained, another person takes over the controller. Infinitely entertaining.

Held in Pittsburgh, PA for the third year in a row, AGDQ featured thousands of fans, streamers, influencers, and gamers, showcasing talented game skills over 24/7 marathon days. All of the live streamed runs can be found on GDQ’s official YouTube channel.

Although $2.44 million is a heck of a haul for charity, AGDQ has been on a slightly downward slope in recent years, from reaching over $3.4 million in 2022 (average live viewership is also trending downward). Next year’s AGDQ will move to Atlanta Georgia, while the next Games Done Quick marathon, Back to Black, will feature its second annual showcase in February.
