The Showcase also revealed The Witcher 4 Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo. The demo shows off the 3D action fantasy RPG running at 60 fps on PlayStation 5. Ciri, and her horse, explore a new region, and showcase the astonishing details and responsiveness to the world. A release date for The Witcher 4 has not yet been announced.

Other highlights from the State of Play include new Capcom action game, Pragmata, launching in 2026.

Game of the Year 2024 Astro Bot is getting free DLC with the Vicious Void Galaxy, featuring five new levels and more Special Bots.

IO Interactive revealed a new James Bond game, 007 First Light, which acts as a stand-alone origin story starring a pre-007 Bond in his 20s. It’s coming in 2026.

And nostalgic 90s gaming fans should be stoked about the newly announced Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection, featuring the original quadrilogy, plus even the Game Boy Advance games! It’s developed by Digital Eclipse, who recently released Tetris Forever, which means interactive documentaries and other goodies. The Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection will release later this year.
