Cloud gaming platform Blacknut has combined forces with PlayAbility’s accessibility technology to certify an AI-assisted software controller to support greater accessibility in gaming.
The all-software controller is built entirely within the gaming platform, and designed to help gamers with physical disabilities and limited mobility.
PlayAbility uses advanced artificial intelligence to translate facial expressions as various button layouts in games, as well as supporting other accessible devices such as wheelchair joysticks and the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
The Windows software hit beta earlier this year, and is officially debuting on Blacknut in December 2024.
At Blacknut, we believe that gaming is for everyone. Our partnership with and certification of PlayAbility underscores our commitment to removing barriers and creating a truly inclusive cloud gaming experience for players of all abilities all over the world.
Olivier Avaro, CEO, Blacknut
Blacknut is the world’s biggest pure streaming platform. A cloud gaming service is where players sign up for a subscription and stream games directly to their TV without needing a physical console. Basically, Netflix for gaming.
Blacknut currently includes a library of over 500 games. Blacknut players can also use standard controllers, including Xbox and PlayStation, as well as compatible third-party controllers.
The PlayAbility software controller is also free to download on PC, with a subscription plan after 30 days.
