Frontier has announced the sixth DLC animal pack for park management sim Planet Zoo. The Africa Pack adds five new animals, including the meerkat who displays new digging behavior, as well as new scenery pieces and a new scenario. It’s reelasing June 22, 20221 on PC (Steam), for $9.99.
The new animals in the Africa Pack include the following:
- Meerkat
- Fennec Fox
- African Penguin
- Southern White Rhinoceros
- Sacred Scarab Beetle (exhibit)
The meerkat is the most notable new addition. It utilizes a digging behavior that’s new to Planet Zoo, creating tunnels throughout their exhibit.
The Africa Pack also includes 180 new pieces of scenery inspired by the colors and architecture of North Africa, including painted branches, mosaic tiles, and dozens of new foliage.
The new timed scenario challenges zookeepers to solve a struggling park in an oasis bazaar.
The Africa Pack is launching alongside the free 1.6 update to Planet Zoo. The update includes adding Vista points throughout your zoo, an improved sandbox mode, and a new timed scenario where you rescue animals in Guatemala.
The 1.6 update and the Africa Pack DLC will release on June 22, 2021. Planet Zoo is available on Steam and rated E10+.
