UK indie developer Twice Circled announced the release date for their newest management sim game: Megaquarium. It’s set to release September 13 on PC (Windows, Mac, and Linux) for $24.99.

Megaquarium is a classic tycoon sim game, inspired by theme park sim games like RollerCoaster Tycoon (or more recently, Planet Coaster). You design and create watery exhibits, manage your staff, purchase equipment and fish food, and make sure your aquarium stays in the black.

The game includes over 100 aquatic creatures to house and care for, including sharks, crustaceans, coral, and jellyfish. Every animal will have requirements that must be met in order for them to grow and flourish. Housing aquatic life is a major challenge, as many of these creatures will not get along in the same enclosure.

As you advance you’ll unlock more challenging species, as well as new equipment and guest facilities. Staff must be kept happy as well, and their skills can be leveled up to help manage the aquarium.

Twice Circled is a one-person studio founded and run by Tim Wicksteed. His previously released game was Big Pharma in 2015, a well-received pharmaceutical management sim.

Megaquarium is due to launch on September 13 on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
