The next Nintendo Direct is next week, December 15 at 2 p.m. PST. Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, will be discussing new updates to the popular fighting game.
Specifically, Sakurai will be talking about Cloud’s upcoming arrival to the franchise; Cloud will be the first Final Fantasy character to come to Super Smash Bros.
We’ve seen several Nintendo Direct presentations dedicated to individual games or franchises, so this is nothing new. It is, however, the last Direct that will be dedicated to either of these two games specifically.
Cloud’s Smash debut was announced at the very end of the last Nintendo Direct. Watch the announcement trailer below.
