Professional YouTube gamer and Legends of Gaming star Ali-A (Alistair Aiken) was recently presented with two Guinness World Records—for “Most popular Call of Duty channel for views” and “most popular Call of Duty for subscribers.” The moment he received the awards was recorded, and Ali-A’s reaction was one of genuine surprise and delight.
Ali-A has 6,176,412 subscribers and 1,448,972,582 views (and counting) on his dedicated Call of Duty channel as of today, August 3, 2015. He’s only 21. “I never thought it would get this big…having these two plaques really brings it home!” Ali-A said of the awards.
According to Guiness World Records, Ali-A is planning to make a bid for inclusion in the forthcoming Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition. Gamer’s Edition will be featured at the Legends of Gaming Live event on September 4-6 this year.
