Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, an EA Sports golfing game, is getting two new real-world courses for free. TPC Scottsdale will become available to all users on August 11, and in September East Lake Golf Club will also be added.
TPC Scottsdale is set in the Sonoran Desert, while East Lake Golf Club is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The latter is also the host of the PGA FedExCup TOUR Championship by CocaCola. Both courses will be available in Play Now, Tour Pro career, and online modes.
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour came out on July 14 this year. It was criticized for its lack of courses compared to previous golf games, according to Polygon.
The pro golfer Rory McIlroy “represents a new generation of players for a new generation of consoles,” according to EA. Mcilroy is currently the world’s top-ranked golfer. He’s 25 years old and has a large fan base, with more than 2 million followers on Twitter.
The game, which is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, uses a new engine called Frostbite. This new technology can render a whole course at once, reducing load times and allowing players more flexibility in choosing where to play their shots.
