Ever wondered how long it will take you to finish a game? Yeah, us too. (To be honest, my finish time is usually far longer than everybody else’s—what can I say? I’m a completionist.) Sometimes you need to know how long your kids will be occupied by a game. Sometimes you need to know if you’ll be able to finish a borrowed game before returning it. Sometimes it’s nice to just have an idea of the time commitment you’re making.

Gamelengths is a great resource for families. With low, high, and average time played, the site gives you a pretty good idea of what you’re getting yourself into. It’s crowdsourced info, so more popular games have even more accurate times. You can even input your own play time. For example, Southpark: The Stick of Truth took most people about 13 hours and 55 minutes, but some completed the game in only 8 hours, and some took as long as 18 and a half! I definitely would’ve clocked something around 18. No stone left uncovered, right?

In other words, check out the site! It’s been super useful for us, so we figured we should share.
