Panel 2

Program title: Why Isn’t Bilbo A Girl? Talking to Kids About Media Representation
Program date and time: Sunday, March 30, 3:20 p.m., Hall C (Room 610)
Program description: How do you tell kids why they can’t see themselves in media? Often we only see one character of a racial, gender, or sexual minority. Let’s be constructive, positive, and educational. Kids already ask questions. Let’s come up with answers.

We encourage you to come, listen, and engage! Both panels will include a Q&A session. If you are unable to attend but still have questions you would like to have answered, send them to us at hello@pixelkin.org—we’ll do our best to cover everything you want to know.
