At E3 2018 Double Fine Productions revealed a new trailer for upcoming co-op indie game Knights and Bikes. The trailer shows off the arcade-like gameplay and co-op multiplayer. Knights and Bikes is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC. A release date has not yet been announced.

In Knights and Bikes you play as young friends Nessa and Demelza on a fictional British island set in the 1980s. In The Goonies-esque romp, they’ll battle enemies, save people, and uncover lost treasure. They’ll employ traditional kid-equipment like flying discs, water-balloons, and bats.

The game is fully playable in single player with an AI taking over your friend. In multiplayer it supports both local and online co-op. Nessa and Demelza have different skills that can be combined, and their bikes can be upgraded and customized. There’s also a pet goose named Captain Honkers.

Knights and Bikes was originally crowdfunded via Kickstarter in 2016. It’s being developed by Foam Sword, a 2-man development team based in London whose previous resumes includes LittleBigPlanet.

Double Fine picked up the game and is publishing it under their Double Fine Presents label.

Also coming soon under Double Fine Presents is Ooblets, a charming cross between Animal Crossing and Pokémon, featuring the titular little creatures. A new trailer for Ooblets was also shown at E3 2018. Ooblets will release later this year.

Knights and Bikes is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC, but no release date has been announced.
