For the first time in the series, players will be able to choose to play as either a male or female character right from the start of Assassins’s Creed Odyssey. Odyssey is coming October 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

As announced during the Ubisoft E3 2018 press conference, Odyssey will take place during the Ancient Greece era, during the Peloponnesian War, putting it even further back then last year’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. You play as the offspring of the famous Spartan warrior Leonidas, and inherit your father’s legendary spear.

Odyssey will build upon many of the series changes and improvements found in Origins, while leaning more towards RPG elements, such as choosing dialogue. You’ll also be able to romance certain NPCs if you so choose, regardless of whether you’re playing as Alexios or Kassandra.

Odyssey will include over 30 hours of multiple choice dialogues and different game endings depending on your choices.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is due out October 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Multiple special editions are available, including a Gold Edition that includes the Season Pass as well as granting a three day head start, on October 2.
