Toki Tori arrives on Nintendo Switch just in time for Easter holiday weekend. It stars a chicken on a quest to recover his eggs, hence the whole Easter connection. It’s available now with a 10% launch discount for $4.49.

Toki Tori was developed and published by Two Tribes. It’s a 2D puzzle-platformer starring the titular chicken. Like Captain Toad he lacks an essential tool of most platformers: jumping, and must solve each level using various tools.

The gameplay features over 80 levels spread across five worlds. It also includes the ability to rewind time if you get stuck, or even skip a level entirely.

Toki Tori originally launched on the Game Coy Color (!) in 2001, proving that a good puzzle game continues to hold up. It’s been remade, updated, and ported over the years, including mobile, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.

A sequel, Toki Tori 2, was released in 2013 for Wii U, and ported to Nintendo Switch last month. The sequel dropped the tools but added new magical whistle skills. The level design is also more open-ended, letting you discover even harder optional puzzles in different areas.

Toki Tori is available now on the Nintendo eShop. The 10% discount ends April 13. Toki Tori has been rated E for Everyone.
