Indie studio We Are Fuzzy announced their debut game, Sleep Tight, as a top-down twin-stick shooter with ‘base-building elements.’ Sleep Tight stars a kid in their pajamas as you construct defensive pillow forts and hold out against waves of monsters at night using toys. Sleep tight is launching early 2018 for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Gameplay is separated between day and night. During the day you’ll build pillow fort walls and remote-controlled turrets. At night you need to survive for one minute against a horde of incoming monsters using water balloons, dart guns, and other toys. New weapons, skills and power-ups can be unlocked and purchased by collecting stars from slain enemies.

We Are Fuzzy is made up of several big name Hollywood and AAA video game special effects artists lead by Maxx Burman (Iron Man 3). Collectively their credits include The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Wreck It Ralph, League of Legends, and Titanfall. Sleep Tight represents their first step into indie gaming.

“Since I was a kid, I always wanted to make games. After 10 years of working on other people’s projects, it was time to make my own, and I wanted to go back to that feeling of pure play,” said Burman, co-founder at We Are Fuzzy. “I feel fortunate to work with such talented artists to bring this Pixar-esque world to life. I think it’s an experience that will appeal to the young at heart, no matter their age.”

Sleep Tight should arrive in Q1 2018 for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
