During San Diego Comic Con 2017, Telltale Games announced their upcoming plans through next year, and it’s a lot of sequels. We’ll be getting a second season of Batman, a fourth season of The Walking Dead, and, finally, a second season of The Wolf Among Us. You can watch the announcements in the 2017 Summer Update video above.

The next Batman adventure game will be titled Batman: The Enemy Within. It will be another five-part episodic series where you play as both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Batman discover’s his father’s legacy has some added shades of grey, and he’ll face off against iconic villains like The Riddler. Choices made in the first season can optionally carry over.

Batman: The Enemy Within will debut Telltale Games’ new “Crowd Play” feature. This multiplayer component allows friends and family to “decide the direction of the story” by using a mobile device. Troy Baker returns as the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Batman: The Enemy Within’s first episode is titled “The Enigma.” It premieres August 8 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac. Mobile versions will arrive later.

The other two sequels won’t be coming until 2018. Telltale Games confirmed that a fourth – and final season for their critically acclaimed Walking Dead adventure game series is currently in development.

With the working title of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, Clementine will become the sole focus in the lead role. The video shows her journey from back in the first season in 2012.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, voice of Clementine. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”

telltale gamesThe Walking Dead: A New Frontier’s final episode released earlier this Summer. The third season was met with mixed results as Clementine took on a more supporting role to new character Javier, and Telltale’s aging game engine doesn’t do it any favors. By the looks of the promotional video, Telltale aims to put the reticle squarely back on Clementine for their final story.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been confirmed for PC/Mac and mobile devices. Console release has not yet been announced, making me think that a possible timed exclusivity deal is in the works. The fourth season will debut in 2018.

Finally, we also got some rather surprising news with a second season of The Wolf Among Us, also coming in 2018. The first season concluded back in 2014 as Telltale’s follow-up to their explosive hit that was the first season of The Walking Dead.

telltale gamesNo information, including the second season’s title, was announced, other than confirming Adam Harrington’s return as the voice of Bigby Wolf and Erin Yvette as Snow White.

The Wolf Among Us is based on the Fables comics by Bill Willingham, crafting a world where classic fairy tale characters live out a normal, and abnormal world around us.

Batman: The Enemy Within arrives August 8 (Episode 1). The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us are coming in 2018.
