Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, a crossover game that joins together both franchises, has finally gotten a release date. On September 19, 2017, players will get to experience the 2v2 battles that pit characters from both universes against each other. The game will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes such as Mission, Arcade, and Training. It will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The game’s Story Mode focuses on the efforts of heroes and villains alike to defeat the powerful Ultron Sigma. This robotic foe is a mashup of Marvel’s Ultron and Capcom’s Sigma from Mega Man X. Ultron Sigma’s evil plan is to infect organic life with a virus that’s capable of turning everything into a mechanical hybrid. Warriors from both universes are at risk and must unite to take down this super villain.

Marvel and Capcom have also announced several new characters that will feature in the game. Fan favorites like Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Rocket Raccoon will join classics like Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, and Chris Redfield. In addition to their usual skills, these characters also have the ability to get a boost from the all-powerful Infinity Stones. Wielding the Stones will allow characters to master forces like Time, Power, and Space.

Starting today, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is available for pre-order of both Standard and Deluxe Editions. The Deluxe Edition includes two additional costumes and a 2017 Character Pass. A Collector’s Edition of the game will also be released with a variety of statues and replicas. Fans can check out the official website for more info.
