Sago Mini has released an addition to their very extensive line of apps aimed at preschoolers. Sago Mini Planes was released yesterday and you’ll find some fun, but familiar gameplay in this one.

Sago Mini games are all about experimentation and exploration. There are no written or spoken instructions. Instead they offer kids the chance to figure things out on their own. They’ve got bright colors and same cast of animal characters that persist throughout their most recent games.

In Sago Mini Planes, you start off by picking a plane and its occupants. After that kids can fly the plane pretty much anywhere. The world is filled with some signature Sago Mini items like balloons that kids can run into while flying. There are also some new things like space penguins. And yes, you can fly your plane into space. After some playthroughs with my daughter, Sago Mini Planes feels similar to Sago Mini Boats and Sago Mini Road Trip, but with lots more areas to explore. Here’s a breakdown of some of the features of the game.

  • Ten planes to choose from, including the Sago Mini signature banana.
  • Six different areas including mountains, ocean landscapes and space.
  • As always there are no instructions and no rules.

Sago Mini Planes is available on the app store for $2.99. There are no in-app purchases or third party advertisements. Occasionally an ad for another Sago Mini product will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the start screen.
