Nintendo Direct returns this Thursday for a sneak peek of some upcoming 3DS games. For those unfamiliar, Nintendo Direct is a series of broadcasts started by the late president and CEO of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata. Each broadcast highlights an upcoming Nintendo product and gives fans the chance to see the faces of the people who make their favorite games.

In the past, developers have used Nintendo Direct to let players know about updates to games like Super Mario Maker and Super Smash Bros. It’s also served as a platform for giving players more information about upcoming Wii U releases like Star Fox Zero. This week’s focus on titles for the 3DS is no coincidence. 3DS sales rocketed to the number 1 spot of the hardware sales chart in July even without the release of any new anticipated games. Pokémon GO has renewed interest in the company, and older Pokémon titles have enjoyed a bump in sales. It’s fair to say that the 3DS is currently experiencing a resurgence, and Nintendo intends to make the most of it.

Thursday’s Nintendo Direct will air at 7am PT / 10am ET. Visit http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct to watch the broadcast live.
