Warner Bros., LEGO, and Marvel are continuing their LEGO Marvel line of video games with a newly announced sequel, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. You can watch the teaser trailer above, with the full trailer coming next week. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is scheduled for a November 17 release for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch in December.

“We’ve teamed up yet again with our incredible partners at LEGO, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and TT Games,” said Jay Ong, SVP at Marvel Entertainment. “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 brings characters from across Marvel’s history into an original story told in a way that only LEGO games can, offering hours of epic gameplay.”

The sequel returns players to the classic LEGO cooperative gameplay with a sprawling roster culled from every era of Marvel comics and films. New features include the ability to manipulate time and an all-new four player battle arena.

The primary villain this time around is the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror. The heroes must travel through classic eras like Ancient Egypt and the Old West, as well as familiar Marvel locales like the planet Sakaar and a futuristic New York City featuring Spider-Man 2099.

The first LEGO Marvel Super Heroes launched in 2013 on the previous generation of consoles. It was also one of my favorite games of the year, combining fun missions with a giant open world in New York City and well over 100 heroes and villains to unlock. The LEGO games continue to be some of the better cooperative and kid-friendly games you can play, though some are better than others.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is launching on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with a Switch version arriving “this Christmas.”
