There Will Be No Lack of Games for VR Devices

We don’t have to be worried about the Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR having a dearth of games. Oculus creator Palmer Luckey and Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai have each said that their VR devices are getting over 100 games this year.

In an interview with the BBC, Hirai noted that there are also 200 developers who have signed up for the company’s PlayStation VR Program. He called them “a testament to the kind of support that we’re getting from the content creation community on PlayStation VR.” Read More

Only a Quarter of Americans Have Heard of Oculus Rift

How up to date are you on VR technology? A new survey from Frank N. Magid Associates tells us that while most consumers are interested in virtual reality, 51% of them aren’t familiar with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, or other specific technologies. That left 25% that were “aware of any single product,” according to a graph put out by the firm. Read More
