In a recent tweet, Konami has announced that the bug that caused Metal Gear Solid V save files to be corrupted has been fixed on PC and PS4. Next up: the rest of the platforms! Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Steam players will still have to wait for a final fix.
The bug in question is easily avoidable. It occurs when players bring the sniper character Quiet on either Mission 29 or Mission 42.
Konami also revealed an alternate way to get around the bug. Apparently if you use the Butterfly Emblem during the mission, you’ll be fine. Konami also cautioned that players should, “avoid raising your Bond Level with Quiet to MAX during the course of the mission.”
Konami will keep working on patching the bug for the remaining platforms, but until then that will have to do.
