Sega has announced an HD remake of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will arrive on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One and October 29. The PC (Steam) version will launch sometime later in 2019.

In the Super Monkey Ball games, you can control a cute little monkey in a bubble-like ball. The monkey balls roll through obstacle-laden ramps and ledges, trying to collect bananas.

Banana Blitz was originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo Wii, and used the Wii Remote motion controls to move around levels and operate mini-games such as Monkey Darts and Monkey Bowling.

Aside from updated graphics for modern consoles, the HD remake will also feature an optimized control scheme for each platform, 10 new multiplayer mini-games, 100 single player stages, and for the first time in the series, online leaderboards. A new Decathalon mode tasks you to complete 10 mini-games in a row.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is rated E10+ for Mild Cartoon Violence and Suggestive Themes. It’s coming to PS4, Switch, and Xbox One in October, and PC later this year, for $39.99.
