Dragon Quest Builders 2 is out now on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Watch the new launch trailer above.

In the sequel to 2016’s fun mashup of Dragon Quest RPG and Minecraft-like construction, you play as an apprentice builder who washes up on the Isle of Awakening. You join forces with Malroth, a young man suffering from amnesia. Together you explore islands, help townsfolk, battle enemies, craft supplies, and build a town.

For the first time in the series, Dragon Quest Builders 2 supports online multiplayer. Up to four builders can play cooperatively build and play together. The sequel also adds bigger structures, crop farming, and new ways to travel by sea and air.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is available in standard and deluxe editions. The $79.99 Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass for three post-launch DLC packs. The DLC Packs include the Hotto Stuff Pack, which adds a new island and 40 new recipes, the Aquarium Pack which adds a new fishing island and aquarium, and the Modernist Pack, including 70 recipes for modern-looking structures. The Season Pass can also be purchased separately for $20.99.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is rated E10+ for Alcohol, Comic Mischief, Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Mild Language, and Suggestive Themes. It’s available now for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
