Atari has released a new RollerCoaster Tycoon game exclusively for PlayStation 4, and designed for virtual reality. RollerCoaster Tycoon Joyride is a console-friendly theme park game with the signature ability to build and ride your own custom-built roller coasters. If you have PlayStationVR, you’ll be able to experience them first-hand.

“While we have a vast catalog of fantastic and iconic games to choose from, we felt the fan-favorite RollerCoaster Tycoon series is ideal for Atari to make its entry into the exciting virtual reality space,” said Fred Chesnais, CEO, Atari. “Being able to design your ultimate roller coaster and then actually jump in and ride your own creation as well as sharing them via PlayStation Network is an electrifying experience that few will be able to resist.”

Joyride features pre-built coasters to jump on as well as the ability to design and make your own, using streamlined controls built for consoles. Local multiplayer is supported as players can challenge each other to designing the best coasters. While riding the coasters players can shoot down moving targets and compete for the best scores. Coaster designs can be saved and shared through the PlayStation Network.

Although designed with PlayStationVR in mind, Joyride is fully playable in non-VR on PlayStation 4.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Joyride is developed by Nvizzio Creations and rated E for Everyone. It’s available now.
