The ambitious dinosaur survival-crafting online adventure ARK: Survival Evolved gets its third massive expansion pack today in ARK: Extinction. Extinction is available now on PC (Steam) and on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Nov. 13.

For further incentive, the base game of ARK: Survival Evolved is available to play for free on Steam through Sunday, Nov. 11. If you like what you see, ARK you can purchase it for a 60% discount sale, with the first two expansions on sale for 50% and 60% off.

ARK: Extinction features an all new story and map that takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The ravaged world is full of roaming high-level monstrosities called titans. New tamable creatures include the flying Snow Owl and the spine-shooting Velonasaur. Survivors can explore the remains of the last human city of Metropolis, as well as Proto-ARKs that feature self-contained ecosystems.

Orbital supply drops can be found throughout the wasteland. But they will also draw the attention of new Element-infused dinosaurs, creating new challenges.

Extinction also adds customizable Meks that can be built and piloted, in case laser-firing dinosaurs doesn’t quite do it for you.

ARK: Extinction is is available as a stand-alone expansion pack. It’s also included in the Season Pass, which includes the desert-themed Scorched Earth and underground-themed Aberration.

ARK: Survival Evolved is rated T for Teen.
