THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have announced the release date for long-awaited sequel Darksiders III. Darksiders III will launch on November 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Special pre-order editions have also been announced, including a $400 Apocalypse Edition with multiple figurines, as shown in the above trailer.

Pre-ordering a physical version of Darksiders III will net the Exclusive Armor DLC, which adds a unique original skin for Fury on launch day. The digital deluxe pre-orders for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One features the armor DLC as well as 24-hour early access and future access to post-launch DLC.

If you’re ready to pony up the cash for fancier pre-order editions, THQ Nordic has you covered. The Collector’s Edition includes an artbook, soundtrack, giant collector’s box, and a Fury Figurine. That’ll run you $150 – but wait, there’s more!

For $400 you can pre-order the Apocalyptic Edition. This version includes absolutely everything else, plus a “Wall Scroll” (printed art on fabric, with a wire hanger) and four figurines, including Fury, War, and Death.

Like the first two games Darksiders III is set during a biblical apocalypse and stars one of the Four Horseman. This time you play as Fury, who is more of a magic spellcaster than either War or Death. She is tasked with hunting and destroying the Seven Deadly Sins in order to restore the balance between the powers of heaven and hell.

The original Darksiders games were designed by Vigil Games and published by THQ. THQ went bankrupt in 2012. The Darksiders brand was bought by Nordic along with other THQ properties (who in turn change their name to THQ Nordic).

Vigil Games was disbanded and essentially reformed into two indie dev teams – Airship Syndicate and Gunfire Games. Airship Syndicate would go to Kickstarter to successfully produce a video game adaptation of co-founder Joe Maduriera’s comic series, Battle Chasers.

Gunfire Games would produce several VR titles on Oculus Rift before they announced Darksiders III last year.

Darksiders III will arrive November 27 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s not yet been rated but previous games were M for Mature.
