Studio Wildcard has released the first trailer for the upcoming expansion to ARK: Survival Evolved. It’s called ARK: Extinction, and it takes place on an apocalyptic Earth. ARK: Extinction is launching November 6 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

ARK: Extinction is designed as the ultimate challenge for veteran survivors. It takes place on the ruined world of Earth, which is overrun by creatures and technology run amok. The main feature will be gigantic, roaming monsters called Titans who now rule the planet.

Over the next several months, Studio Wildcard will release Explorer Notes throughout the main ARK game and its expansions, teasing Extinction. The notes will unlock new skins and add new Tek-themed dinosaurs.

ARK: Extinction will be the third major expansion pack to hit the still popular online survival-crafting game, following Scorched Earth in 2016 and Aberration in 2017. ARK players who own the Explorer’s Pack or Season Pass will automatically receive Extinction. It will also be available as a standalone expansion, and as an upgrade to the base game.

The ARK base game, expansions, and season pass are currently on sale on Steam this week, between 40% and 67% off.

ARK: Extinction will arrive Nov. 6 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. ARK was recently released on mobile earlier this month. It’s free to download with an optional subscription service. ARK is due to launch on Nintendo Switch later this year.
