Rod Fergusson, head of The Coalition, took the stage during the Xbox E3 2018 press conference to reveal three new games in the Gears of War franchise. All three games are completely different genres, and even platforms. Watch the initial announcement trailer for Gears 5 above.

First is Gears Pop!, a mobile spin-off game that uses the popular Funko Pop! figures. It’s being developed by Mediatonic, and coming to iOS and Android devices in 2019.

Gears Tactics is an XCOM-like tactical turn-based strategy game, developed specifically for PC. It’s being developed in partnership with Splash Damage. Gears Tactics includes customizable squads, upgradable weapons, and large scale boss fights.

The biggest news is obviously Gears 5, which stars Kait Diaz, alongside JD, Del, and Marcus. Gears 5 will include both single player as well as online and local split-screen co-op. The Xbox One X version will feature 4k Ultra HD and HDR, all running at 60 frames per second.

Gears 5 should arrive in 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It’ll also be available via Xbox Game Pass on the same date.
