Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are launching Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on Nintendo 3DS today. You can watch the new launch trailer above.

The latest Pokémon games are enhanced or remixed versions of last year’s Sun and Moon. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon offer an altered story, new areas, different Pokémon, and new features. They are available now at retail and the Nintendo eShop.

The new story will focus on Necrozma, the Legendary Pokémon who infests and alters the Sun and Moon cover Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala. It becomes the new Legendary Pokémon Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma. The new villain group Team Rainbow Rocket is a gathering of villains from previous Pokémon games, lead by Giovannia, the boss of the original games.

New areas include the Pikachu Valley – guess what you’ll find there. You can also explore through the Ultra Wormhole into the home dimensions of the Ultra Beasts. Solgaleo and Lunala can now be ridden to access these new areas.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will add in Pokémon who were previously unavailable in Sun and Moon, including previous generations’ starter Pokémon. Most impressively, The Pokémon Company have stated that you can find every Legendary Pokémon in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Several new gameplay features have also been added, including surfing with new ridable Pokémon Mantine, taking pictures for the Alola Photo Club, and renting Pokémon through the Battle Agency.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are available now for Nintendo 3DS.
