During the PC Gaming Show at E3 2017, Firaxis’ XCOM Designer Jake Solomon revealed the new expansion pack DLC coming to XCOM 2. It’s called War of the Chosen and it’s out August 29.

The expansion is Firaxis’ biggest to date, twice as big as the last XCOM DLC according to Solomon. War of the Chosen adds both new story missions and gameplay features. The Chosen refers to a new enemy whose goal is to recapture the Commander (the player avatar). It adds new enemies, missions, maps, and special Hero classes.

The new classes represent three new factions that have emerged to help the Resistance: the Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars. These factions will factor into new story missions as well as having unique new abilities. Templars are even more powerful psionic soldiers with psi-blades. Skirmishers are human-hybrid defectors from the alien’s side. Reapers are capable of stealthy sabotage.

New enemies include The Lost, which are basically zombies that are featured in the new city maps. Their numbers are endless and they attack both aliens and your forces on sight, adding an additional strategic layer to those maps.

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen launches August 29 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
