During the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra’s 2017 tour, fans got a chance to catch a peek at the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III. Disney and Square Enix premiered a new trailer for the game at the Los Angeles concert. The trailer introduced the latest addition to the Kingdom Hearts series: the classic Disney hero Hercules.

Kingdom Hearts III will bring players to Mount Olympus, home of the gods and goddesses of Hercules’s world. Hades will feature as one of the villains working against our team of intrepid heroes. Main characters Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy are all returning for this installment in the series. The trailer showcased Sora’s new form and the special attacks he can now perform after this “upgrade.” Sora will need to use these abilities and the help of his friends and teammates to challenge the reunited villain trio of Hades, Maleficent, and Pete. As these villains come together to unearth a mysterious item, Sora seeks to bring back an old, familiar friend.

More information about the game, including another a new trailer, will be released at the D23 Expo in July. D23 is the official fan club for Disney, and the expo is a biennial event put on for members of the club.

Kingdom Hearts III does not yet have a release date, but developers have confirmed that the game will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 upon launch.
