Kingdom Hearts fans who own a PlayStation 4 have something to be excited about. Square Enix and Disney’s popular franchise has come to the PS4 in an updated, HD version of two games and a movie. The games included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 are Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage. Dream Drop Distance (HD) was first released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS and follows Sora and Riku as they master the Keyblade in anticipation of bad guy Xehanort’s return. Kingdom Hearts 0.2 is a new story that will lead into Kingdom Hearts III which is still in the works. A Fragmentary Passage picks up after Birth by Sleep and centers on the character Aqua, a former apprentice of Master Eraqus and opponent of Xehanort.

The film – Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover – is another new addition in the compilation. It focuses on the Foretellers, a group of Keyblade Masters who first appeared in Kingdom Hearts X. The story takes place a hundred years before the events of the first game in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is available now for $59.99 on the PlayStation Store. Fans can also check out a limited edition of the compilation on the Square Enix store. This version includes an official Kingdom Hearts pin.
