If you prefer your PC gaming to be a little less Steam-y, GoG.com is your jam. Today starts the GoG Back to School Sale, which features hundreds of classic and newer titles on deep discounts.

Like their previous sales, the best deals lie in buying bulk though bundles. You can nab all five Myst games for $22.95. How about the first five Heroes of Might and Magic games for $17.44? For some recent titles, check out the Devolver Collection, featuring over twenty indie games from the prolific publisher.

There’s also an option to BYOB – Build Your Own Bundle. For the Interplay BYOB you can select 10 games from a massive list of 90s PC games. Each game offers a 60% discount, but pick 10 games and you get 90% off the whole bunch.

Note that new sales and bundles are being added every day. This is similar to how Steam used to do their sales.

The GoG Back to School sale overlaps the current Weekend Deal, which lasts until the end of the day today. The Weekend Deal features some classic strategy games as well as Telltale adventures like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead for 80% off.

GoG Connect is also making a second pass after its debut in June. By partnering with different publishers and developers, GoG Connect allows you to import certain games you own on Steam into your GoG library. This gives you the best of both worlds – a full Steam library and backups on GoG. You have a limited time to benefit from the unique deal, and requires you to connect your public Steam account with your GoG account.

The following games can be imported into your GoG library if you own them on Steam:

  • AI War: Fleet Command
  • Anno 1404: Gold Edition
  • Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition
  • Cossacks Anthology
  • Dex
  • Hot Tin Roof: The Cat that Wore a Fedora
  • Hotline Miami
  • The Last Federation
  • OlliOlli
  • Shadow Warrior (2013)
  • Teslagrad
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
  • The Masterplan
  • Two Worlds: Epic Edition
  • X: Gold
  • X: Rebirth
  • Ziggurat

More games may be coming soon. The Back to School Sale (and GoG Connect deal) end October 2nd.
