id Software and Bethesda Softworks have announced that QuakeCon 2016 will be partnering with several different charities. The American Red Cross, 1Up On Cancer, Dallas Pets Alive, and Extra Life are all on that list.“We’re honored to host these amazing charities at QuakeCon this year,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing, Bethesda Softworks in an official release. “Giving back to the community is extremely important to us, and we’ve got a wonderful group of attendees that come to QuakeCon year after year to lend their support to great causes.”

In the past, QuakeCon has made an effort to showcase a variety of local and national charities. Attendees will have the chance to donate to these organizations and learn more about them at their booths. The American Red Cross will be accepting blood donations from attendees who are 17 or older. For those who want to join in without attending the con, Bethesda is also holding a special sale through Amazon.com. Purchases of all digital PC Bethesda titles will benefit GameChanger and Conquer Paralysis Now. The QuakeCon Sale begins August 2nd.

QuakeCon is an annual festival for ZeniMax Media and its subsidiary studios. The convention is held in Dallas from August 4th to August 7th.
