One of the most popular RPGs of recent years is getting a fresh coat of paint, and boy does it look pretty. Bethesda unveiled the Skyrim Special Edition during their E3 press briefing earlier this evening.

Fans of the game have been asking for a remaster of Skyrim for some time, so it’s no surprise that Bethesda chose to give them what they wanted. Besides the immense graphical improvements, the Skyrim Special Edition includes the full game with add-ons and mod support on consoles. The mod feature allows for a lot more customization and a much longer life for the game. The mods will be easily accessed through the main menu with the ability to rate your favorites and post feedback to the modder.

As a big bonus if you sprung for the original game and all of its extra content on PC, then you get the upgraded version of the game for free.

The Skyrim Special Edition will launch on October 28, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
