CD Projekt Red, the developer behind The Witcher, has announced a holiday-outfit modding contest for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The prize is a real sword.

“Basically all you have to do is create an outfit or holiday element for any one of the characters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” CD Projekt Red writes. “It can be an epic armor for Geralt, a Christmas hat for Johnny, or candy canes for Nekkers!”

The contest is being held in partnership with Nexus Mods, which is where mods that make the finals will be uploaded for judging. Full submission instructions are in the blog post.

The grand prize for winning is an actual freaking sword, which is awesome. The contest will run until January 5, and since the prize is a weapon after all, it’s only open to people over the age of 18.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action role-playing game set in an open world. It was released this year for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, is a monster hunter who wields both swords and magic.

The game has been both a critical and popular success. It is one of the top-selling games of the year.
