Beginning in November, PlayStation is making the following titles available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

  • The Walking Dead: Season 2 (PS4)
  • Magicka 2 (PS4)
  • Mass Effect 2 (PS3)
  • Beyond Good and Evil (PS3)
  • Dragon Fin Soup (PS4/PS Vita/PS3 Cross-Buy When Available)
  • Invizimals (PS Vita)

Of the titles that are family friendly, Invizimals (E10+) is your best bet. Beyond Good and Evil is rated T for Teen for comic mischief and violence, and Magicka 2 is rated Teen for Blood and Gore and Violence. Dragon Fin Soup is not yet rated, but will likely earn an M for Mature rating; it’s protagonist is an alcoholic Little Red Riding Hood. Mass Effect 2 and The Walking Dead are both rated M for Mature.

Invizimals  is a creature collecting game for kids, sort of along the lines of Pokemon.

Magicka 2 takes place after the Wizard Wars have wiped out all the Wizards in Midgard, with only a handful of scattered exceptions. Four Wizards and their guide, Vlad, have to team up to rid the world of evil once again by performing spell combos. The game is fairly irreverent and silly.

Beyond Good and Evil is an action-adventure game starring Jade, an investigative reporter and martial artist who works to uncover an alien conspiracy.
