Media Molecule has given us a new look at Dreams, a game that definitely seems to be following in the footsteps of its predecessors in the best way possible. The demo was shown at the Sony PlayStation event at Paris Games Week yesterday. Dreams is all about creating–it sort of takes the build-a-level mechanism from LittleBigPlanet and the papercraft decoration from Tearaway and goes all out with it.

It’s still a bit tough at this point to know exactly what our limitations will be in Dreams. The idea is that dreams aren’t limited, and Media Molecule promises that the bounds of your imagination will be the only barriers to creation. Whether or not that will be true might have to wait until we can actually play the game, but if LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway are any indication, Dreams will be something special.
