MCV reported that Nintendo is going to start offering an “N-Box,” its version of a monthly subscription-based loot crate. It will include lots of Nintendo-branded goodies, including toys and clothes and other Nintendo memorabilia. Fans will be able to get a single N-Box or sign up for three, six, or nine-month plan.

There are other loot crate services, such as Zavvi’s Z-Box (run by The Hut Group, which also owns Nintendo’s online store). For more details on how loot crates in general work, you can visit lootcrate.com. The process is fairly straightforward, but you can get an idea of the types of things you might get in the N-Box. I have that giant Zer0 from Borderlands mousepad sitting next to me right now, in fact. The N-Box, will, of course, only be Nintendo items.

The first N-Box will ship in September, theoretically–Nintendo has not yet commented on the story.
